KALILINOE DETWILER

Aloha!

I am a Hawaiian storyteller with a BA in Creative Media Animation and English at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa (2020) and pursuing an MA in English. I love to develop emotional and meaningful stories with a foundation in traditional Hawaiian culture.

I work as a writer, story artist, and animator on animation productions. I am serving as an illustrator for the Māhealani Dudoit Graduate Residency.

My research focuses on uplifting traditional culture in the present and exploring how culture alongside visual rhetoric evolves media, the stories we tell, and how we communicate.
